German Grammar Exercise Generator

This page gives you grammar exercises with which you can test your German grammar (currently, gender of nouns and declension). You can pick the text you want to work with (a Wikipedia or newspaper article, perhaps) -- just past the text in the box below and click on the Start Exercise button. Articles (der, die, eines, etc.) and possesive pronouns (meine, seine, etc.) will be hidden and boxes put in their places. Enter your answer in the respective text box and press Enter to verify your answer: If the box turns green, your answer is correct. If it turns red, your answer is wrong (you can correct it and try again). Press Tab to go to the next box. (If you're stuck, pressing Enter in an empty box will reveal the correct answer.)

Some sample text (and the first answer) has been filled in for you to get started! This page will most likely not work with Internet Explorer; please use Opera or Firefox.
